Save the Beauty

Before mine eyes lies the Beauty of eternity.
I wish to possess Her, to hold Her as my own,
But I know I may not,
And that to attempt to capture this Beauty
Would only destroy Her.
It seems another attempts to harness the light,
For She is fading from my sight, Her luster dulling.
Does not this person realize he is raping the world
Of all its Splendor?
Apparently not.
I realize I must do something to rescue the wonder,
But I know not how,
For the killer hides his hideous form from my gaze.
And so I stand helplessly by,
Calling for some other to save the Beauty,
For I am too weak to do a thing to help Her myself.
And for my inaction,
Life slowly disappears.
